NOSY IRANJA

It is located near the north-west coast of the island, off the Ampasindava peninsula, about an hour and a half from Nosy Be (depending on the marine weather conditions of Madagascar). Once you get there it comments by itself … already from the boat you perceive the scenario that is waiting for you … two islands, a larger one, Iranja Be and a smaller one Iranja Kely, connected by a white sand tongue just over a mile and a half long, passable during the low tide, in the middle of a crystalline sea with colors ranging froml ight blue to turquoise and the blue of the sky. The beaches of Nosy Iranja have been chosen by green turtles to lay their eggs, it is not difficult on this island to be able to witness the hatching, an exciting event that will make your eyes shine with joy for a lifetime! Nosy Iranja is surrounded by magic … in addition to its paradisiacal beaches where you can relax under the palm trees or where you can swim in its warm and clear waters, it is the ideal place to take pictures … the dark color of the local people goes with that of the white sand, also along a village and a path immediately after you get to the lighthouse and the school, and from above the sight of the tongue of sand and Iranja kely will leave you breathless! NOSY TANIKELY and NOSY KOMBA

In Malagasy “Tani” means earth and “Kely” means small, so “Little Earth”. Approximately 35 minutes, an island south of Nosy be, where we find the only marine park in the north of Madagascar. It is magnificent both for its submarine biodiversity and its emerged part. For the divers it is a small aquarium, a sea suitable even for the children, for those who want to do only snorkeling or those who simply want to relax taking a swim and then sunbathe or take a nap under a palm tree! For lunch, instead, we move to Nosy Komba. It is the highest island of all Madagascar. Passing inside the village of the fishermen it is possible to arrive to the natural park that hosts lemuri makaco, snakes boa, land turtles and chameleons, a real attraction for tourists! There are also local craft markets to bring home souvenirs made in Madagascar.

NOSY SAKATIA

It is also called “the island of orchids”. Located to the north-west of Nosy be and only 10 minutes away from the coast, it is an island that is still little contaminated by tourism. It houses a few hundred inhabitants located in three main villages joined together by paths along which it is easy to find a variety of plantations of coffee, vanilla and many exotic fruits. Ambohibe, the Sacred Mountain, is rich in tropical plants. It is right under the sacred mountain that there is a bay where green turtles have found their favorite food, so it is easy to see them at any time while snorkeling as they are permanent.

NOSY FANIHY

NOSY FANIHY It takes its name from its not distant inhabitants, flying foxes, fanihy in Malagasy. A sacred island divided by a coralligenous part, a white beach made of fragments of corals merging with its wild part, a small forest. Everything around here is pristine, silent. Its crystal clear waters are ideal for a relaxing bath and to discover, with only a mask, beautiful seafloors!

GROUND EXCURSIONS

A wild and uncontaminated nature, rich in plant and animal species, of which 90% are endemic, with rice fields, bananas and rural villages, with huts made of wood and palm roofs, numerous plantations of coffee, vanilla, cocoa and cinnamon but not only … walking along the streets it is not difficult to find the typical fragrant flower of ylang-ylang, from which it is extracted the essence used in the perfume industry.

MONT PASSOT

is the highest mountain of Nosy be (329 meters) and is famous for its sunset. For the more romantic ones, you will see the sun setting over the sea with a scenario that will see protagonists two other beautiful islands, Nosy Sakatia and Nosy Ratzy.

NATURE RESERVE OF LOKOBE’

one of the five integral nature reserves of Madagascar, which protects what remains of the tropical rainforest that once completely covered the island. Here you can admire the endemic island animals, such as the smallest chameleon in the world or the nocturnal lemur.

THE SACRED WATERFALL OF AMPASINDAVA

is a natural waterfall into a small lake of fresh water embraced by a thick vegetation. A sacred place for the local population, a place of prayer. It is said that by bathing with the waters of this lake you receive a kind of blessing.

SACRED TREE

is a place of worship where people gather to pray. It is a Ficus Benghalensis: initially it was only a tree, later it expanded into an infinite set of stems, branches, lianas and leaves. To access them you must respect local rituals, such as wearing their traditional dress and walking barefoot.

NORTHERN TOUR

We also offer you a magnificent visit to the north of the country. This three-night, four-day tour will take you to the main island, the so-called “Grande Terre”.
Among the attractions not to be missed:
Ankarana National Park, characterized by a dry forest rich in animals and plant species typical of this area and by extraordinary rock formations such as the Tsingy Rary (canyon) and “the abyss of the three rivers”. Ask the guide to tell you the story of these places and the people who lived there – you won’t regret it.
The Red Tsingy Canyon, a beautiful limestone and ferrous rock formation, with colors ranging from red to yellow to purple. It is almost impossible to describe – you have to see it. Sunset in this landscape is an unforgettable experience.
The city of Diego Suarez, one of the largest shopping centers in Northern Madagascar, where numerous architectural traces of the country’s colonial past remain.
The Amber Mountain Park, a rainforest with a perpetually cool and humid climate, populated by unique animal and plant species in the world, including, for example, the smallest chameleon ever discovered, as well as many species of lemurs and geckos. Remember to bring shoes, warm clothes and a raincoat.
The Three Bays, the most beautiful beaches in this area of ​​Madagascar, overlooking the Indian Ocean. The colors of the sea and sand are simply splendid. The Baia dei Piccioni, in particular, is surrounded by incredible rocks eroded by the sea.
The Emerald Sea, which as we understand from the name is famous for its color and transparency. Here you can snorkel on the coral reef. Don’t forget mask and fins!
La Montagna dei Francesi, the necropolis of the French colonizers, where spectacular baobabs grow.
The city of Ambanja, the urban center of the Great Earth closest to Nosy Be.
The plantations of coffee, cocoa, vanilla and spices, the products of Madagascar which are exported all over the world.

CITY OF HELL VILLE

is the main town on the island of Nosy Be, located on the south coast of the island and is the capital of the district of Nosy Be. In addition to being able to savor the true chaotic urban life of the island, you can not miss a visit to the typical market of the city, with spices, tropical fruits and handicrafts.
